Define material selection and inspection requirements before ordering extrusion wear parts.
Material selection starts with the application
Discuss the processed resin, filler type, relevant operating conditions and the wear or corrosion observed on the existing parts. The material name by itself does not describe the complete component specification. Geometry, treatment and the agreed inspection criteria also need to be clear.
Available options must be confirmed with the manufacturing partner for the requested component. We do not publish unverified hardness ranges, material equivalence tables or service-life guarantees.
Agree a practical inspection scope
- Controlled drawing and revision used for manufacture.
- Critical dimensions and how they will be checked.
- Material identification and any records required for the order.
- Surface condition and any specified treatment requirements.
- Marking, quantity checks, packaging and shipment identification.
What to request before purchase
Tell us which records your receiving team needs. A dimensional report, material certificate or additional test should be explicitly included in the quotation when agreed. Do not assume that a document is supplied simply because another supplier normally provides it.
Keep records that help future enquiries
Retain the approved specification, purchase reference, inspection records and the location where the part was installed. This makes repeat orders and changes easier to trace.
