Conveying Screw Elements
Source replacement conveying elements for twin-screw extruders with a clearly defined geometry, material and fit.
Start with the drawing, not just the diameter
Conveying elements move material through sections of the screw assembly. Components with the same nominal outer diameter can still differ in pitch, length, flight profile, handedness and internal spline. Identify the element from the machine documentation or a controlled drawing before requesting a replacement.
We accept enquiries for single- and multi-flight conveying elements. Each proposed supply is reviewed against the details you provide; machine-brand references identify the customer’s equipment and do not imply OEM affiliation.
Information for your enquiry
- Machine brand, model and relevant equipment identification.
- Element drawing number and revision, outer diameter, axial length and pitch.
- Number of flights, conveying direction and any special transitions.
- Internal spline drawing or a reference to the mating shaft specification.
- Requested material or the existing part material if known.
- Resin, filler type and the wear or corrosion observed in service.
- Quantity, required documentation and delivery destination.
If only a used sample is available
Photograph the front face, rear face and side profile, including readable markings. Identify which surfaces have worn and which dimensions come from original records. A used sample may no longer represent the original clearance or profile. Any reverse-engineered dimensions and tolerances need agreement before manufacture.
Before approving a quotation
Check that the quotation refers to the correct drawing revision and includes the material, quantity and agreed inspection scope. Confirm how the component fits into the existing assembly and whether adjacent components also need review.
Use the screw-element RFQ checklist to organise your information.
