Identify the complete element geometry
Kneading blocks and other mixing elements form part of the screw configuration. Their geometry influences how material moves and mixes, so a similar-looking component is not automatically an equivalent replacement. For a repeat part, supply the approved drawing or original element designation together with the assembly position.

Details to include
- Machine model and component drawing with revision.
- Outer diameter, overall length and internal spline profile.
- For kneading blocks: disc count, disc width, stagger arrangement and direction as specified on the drawing.
- For special mixing elements: the full profile and orientation, rather than a generic product name alone.
- The element’s location and adjacent parts in the existing screw configuration.
- Processed resin and fillers, relevant operating conditions and observed wear.
- Required quantity and agreed material or documentation requirements.
Keep replacement and redesign separate
If the existing process is satisfactory, identify the part you intend to reproduce. If the aim is to change mixing, output or melt behaviour, state that objective separately and involve the responsible process engineer. We do not promise a particular throughput improvement or service life from a product photograph.
